Motionologist Training

We would like to give a huge thanks to Kat Montgomery, Melanie Malinowski, Bridget Noack and Jen Sudderth for all the help they gave last Friday in training our "motionologists". Also, thanks to the 39 kids who took part in the training and the hearts they have for worship.

I have begun two blogs before and did not seem to keep them up very well, but this one is different and exciting. With a great LHC Kids team here to hold me accountable, our team hopes to provide to you, as a parent, insight and resources to equip you to be a godly parent to your kids. You will find LHC Kids Ministry news, practical discipline ideas, suggested reading, family-friendly internet sites, and other great discussions on raising great kids. We pray that God will use this blogspot to be an effective tool as we partner alongside you in the spiritual development of your children.

Parents Night Out

On Friday October 10th from 6-10, Lake Hills will be hosting it's monthly Parents Night Out which will benefit our missions efforts in Brazil and Mexico. The suggested donation is $25 for the first child and $10 for each additional child. Children 3 and up are welcome. Please email Ryan Kelsheimer at rkelsheimer@lhc.org if interested.

October Theme

At LHC Kids in October, we will be looking at Tolerance though the story of Paul. His evangelism to the Gentiles shows us that we must be loving and accepting to people who are different than we are. Also, our service project is a shoe drive. Read about an inspiring charity that is collecting shoes and a dedicated coach who is helping out.

Also, in "Big Church", join us as we take a hard look at uncertainty. Hurricanes, elections, wars, not to mention many people feel like we are in an economically floundering family while working for a floundering company while living in a economically floundering country. Join us as we look at why we can take heart, knowing that our only real security is in Christ.
